Drunk Driver Caused Broken Bones

A Gainesville man, Kent Lawrence Gravitt was recently sentenced to 12 years in prison after seriously injuring two people after he caused a car wreck while under the influence of methamphetamines. Gravitt was convicted of 8 counts of serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane and improper passing. According to court testimony, Gravitt was driving his Chevy Pickup Truck recklessly along Georgia Interstate 365 when he caused an accident by running off the road onto the shoulder and then veering back into the traffic lane. A motorist who was forced to swerve to avoid colliding with Gravitt's vehicle crashed head on with a third vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle sustained serious brain injuries A third individual involved in the crash suffered a broken arm and a shattered heel as a result of this accident
