Moultrie Georgia Bicycle Accident Attorney

A woman who was drinking and driving in Moultrie, Georgia put two people in the hospital after hitting them with her car. Two 35 year olds, one male and one female, were riding a bicycle together when the woman drove onto the shoulder of highway 133 south and hit them. The driver claimed that the two on the bicycle crossed in front of her, but the damage to the passenger side door and side mirror did not match her story. The two cyclists were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers found open beer bottles and a cooler in the driver's vehicle. When asked about the alcohol, the driver admitted that she had been drinking and was arrested by the officers. The driver was charged with driving under the influence, open container violation, failure to maintain lane, and two counts of failing to exercise due care.
