Kalka & Baer advocates for Bike Crash Victims

While I was getting geared up take my bike out for a spin the other day I was thinking about how before I was really educated in bicycle safety I would just take off without even thinking about the condition of my bike. I have over the years come up with a little routine for getting ready before taking off for a ride and then one day as I was surfing the internet I found a really great checklist to help make sure my bike is in great cycling condition. The Georgia Governor's Office of Health and Safety provides a checklist for bicycles to make sure it is safe for taking a ride. The checklist includes questions designed to help check parts of the bike including the wheels, brakes, spokes, pedals, the chain, and others. Check out your bike today and remember to always put safety first.
