Share The Road Atlanta- A Lawyer's Comment

Have you ever been driving along and when you make it to your destination think, "wow, how'd I even get here?" Driving can become very routine, especially when driving a familiar route. However, this auto-pilot style of driving can be very dangerous when sharing the road with cyclists. We are programmed to look out for other motor vehicles on the road, but can forget about the other things we need to look out for while on the road. On November, 9th, 2009 a van pulling out of a Regent's Bank was attempting to make a right turn when he pulled in front of a cyclist causing the cyclist to strike the side of the van. When making our daily commute and errands we need to be sure as motorists that we are on the look-out for cyclists as well as other motor vehicles.
