Atlanta Bus Accident Injures Two

On Tuesday, August 16, 2011, two people were injured in an Atlanta crash involving a school bus. Authorities said that the accident involved an Atlanta Public Schools bus and another vehicle.

The school bus accident occurred at the intersection of Roswell Road and Chastain Drive around 8 a.m. The school bus driver was picking up children to take them to North Atlanta High School when the accident occurred.

Atlanta police have indicated that they believe the crash was caused by an inattentive driver, as a white Mercedes rear-ended the school bus.

The school bus driver and the driver of the Mercedes were taken to Grady Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Thankfully, none of the 13 children on the bus complained of any injuries. Another school bus picked up the children to transport them to school.

The driver of the Mercedes was shaken up after the accident. Authorities believe that she only looked to her left when she pulled out of an apartment complex. Police believe that the crash will result in only a citation, since there were no serious injuries.

Kalka & Baer would like to wish those injured a full recovery, and we are glad to hear that no children involved in this Atlanta bus accident suffered any injuries.
