Forsyth County Car Crash Claims Two Lives

The first day of June was a deadly day for two motorists traveling on a Forsyth County road. According to the Forsyth County authorities, two vehicles collided head-on at Old Alpharetta Road near Wind Haven Drive.

According to the Forsyth Sheriff’s Office, this deadly accident occurred early Friday morning, and by 12:20 a.m. the Forsyth County Traffic Specialist Unit had responded to the accident scene. The drivers of the two vehicles involved were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have indicated that Cathy Jones, 50, of Suwanee, was traveling north on Old Alpharetta Road, in her 2002 Toyota Camry Solara, when she crossed the centerline for an unknown reason. At that time, she struck a 2005 Nissan Murano traveling southbound. Samuel Chi Epeagba, 53, of Alpharetta, was the driver of the Nissan that was involved in this fatal Georgia head-on crash.

Sgt. Chris Shelton of the Forsyth Sheriff’s Office confirmed that both drivers were killed in this wreck. He stated that there were no passengers in either vehicle, and there have been no witnesses to the crash. They are still continuing their accident investigation to determine why Cathy Jones crossed over the centerline.

Our Forsyth County accident attorneys at Kalka & Baer would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Samuel Chi Epeagba, as well as to the family and friends of Cathy Jones.
