Kalka & Baer Retained to Represent Double Amputee Victim of Distracted Driving

On Thursday, December 2, 2015, a sanitation worker was doing his job, loading waste into the back of his truck. Out of nowhere, a driver, apparently distracted, slammed against him at approximately 45 miles per hour, pinning him against the back of the sanitation truck. Local media reported this horrific injury on both WSB-TV and AJC.

Fortunately, he survived. However, both legs had to be amputated. He is in critical but stable condition at the ICU of Grady Hospital.

Kalka & Baer, LLC has just been retained to help him obtain a recovery for his catastrophic injuries and they are currently working with local law enforcement officials in their investigation. At this time, it is not known if the driver of the vehicle that hit Kalka & Baer's client was on his cell phone at the time of the wreck.
