On Sunday, March 20, 2011, a little boy was injured in a Marietta car accident in Georgia. According to authorities, the 5-year-old boy was flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite following the accident.

According to Cobb County police, the serious accident took place on Macland Road in West Cobb County, when two SUVs collided around 5 p.m. Witnesses say that one SUV was attempting to turn left when it was struck by the other one.

According to reports, the SUV turning left was T-boned by the other SUV at the intersection of Macland Road and John Ward Road. The crash caused the SUV to roll over onto its side.

The 5-year-old boy was a passenger in the SUV that flipped. He suffered a head injury in the crash and was rushed to the hospital for medical treatment. However, his condition improved greatly, and he was released just a day later. The driver of this car, believed to be the child's grandmother, was able to get out of the vehicle, but it is unclear what injuries she suffered.

The Cobb County police department charged the driver who hit the SUV traveling with the child for failure to yield. There is no word on whether or not that driver sustained any injuries.

The Kalka Law Group is glad to hear that the 5-year-old boy was released from the hospital and wishes him a full recovery.
