Over the weekend of September 10-11, 2011, three Walton County residents
died in three different Georgia car crashes.
The first accident took place on Saturday, September 10th, around 11:52
a.m. when a 36-year-old Loganville resident was involved in a single-vehicle
accident. Tracy Marie Talley was traveling west on Broadnax Mill Road
when she lost control of the vehicle and went off the shoulder of the
road. The car flipped over several times, ejecting Talley.
Sadly, the impact killed her.
The second accident happened on Sunday morning around 10:20 a.m. in Newton
County. Richard Lynn McKee, 24, was involved in a two-vehicle accident.
McKee, also a Loganville resident, was driving his motorcycle on Highway
138 when another vehicle struck him. Deane Stapp Smith, 67, of Covington,
was the driver of the vehicle. Authorities believe that he ran a stop sign.
McKee died at the accident scene, and Smith was taken to Grady Memorial
Hospital in Atlanta, where he later died of his injuries.
The third deadly accident happened on Sunday afternoon around 1:12 p.m.
This crash occurred on Mt. Ena Church Road. Two 15-year-old girls were
riding on an ATV when they lost control on a curve. Madison Young collided
with a tree and was seriously injured. She was taken by helicopter to
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where she was later pronounced dead.
The Kalka Law Group is deeply saddened to hear about all of these deadly
crashes. We offer our condolences to the families and friends of all of
