One person died and another was injured in a recent Roswell car crash.
The two men were brothers; the driver of the vehicle died while his brother,
who was in the passenger seat, suffered critical injuries. We offer our
deepest condolences to the families of those two young brothers.
The accident happened late at night on Riverside Road near Northcliff
Trace. The car crashed into a tree on the side of the road.
According to WSB-TV, rescue crews had to use ropes to help keep the vehicle from tipping over
an embankment.
It is speculated that speed played a part in the car accident.
Speeding is one of driving’s biggest dangers. It reduces a driver’s
ability to handle curves or turns and reduces the distance to stop the vehicle.
Most speeding-related car accidents occur in a situation where the driver
cannot react to a dangerous situation. That can range from rear-ending
another vehicle to hitting debris in the road. The speeding driver has
less time to safely react to the situation.
And, when a car crash does occur, speed can worsen the severity of the
crash itself. The higher the rate of speed of the vehicle, the higher
the people inside the vehicle will impact. Speeding increases the energy
and force into the accident.
That can lead to much scarier outcome- more severe injuries, passengers
being ejected from the vehicle, objects outside or inside the vehicle
worsening impact.
As car accident attorneys, The Kalka Law Group reminds all Roswell drivers
to try and maintain safe speeds when driving, especially when road conditions
are poor like with inclement weather or late at night.
