A pair of tractor trailers which fell from I-285 onto Ga. 400 Friday September 25th caused massive delays and traffic re-routing. The interchange is one of the busiest in the state and fortunately was re-opened just in time for Friday rush hour traffic.

One of the trucks was left upside down on Ga. 400 for hours while the other landed on its side on an embankment. The highway had to be closed due to the debris and wreckage. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported. Traffic however was substantially effective.

Although one of the trucks was a tanker carrying 8,000 gallons of fuel, local Fire Rescue reported the fuel had been contained with no leakage. Both drivers were also freed by firefighters.

A Georgia Department of Transpiration spokesperson encouraged motorists to look for other routes. Channel 2's Jason Durden tweeted,"If you normally travel downtown/Midtown to 400 NB out past 285, use 85 NB to 285 WB to 400 NB.
