Accidents Due to Defective Tires

Defective Tire Accidents in Atlanta, GA

Was Your Accident Caused by Bad Tires?

In the immediate aftermath of a car accident, you may be scared and emotional. Sirens, broken glass, a wrecked automobile, and injury can cause you to ask yourself: How did this accident happen? Although you may have no idea what happened or how your car went off the side of the road or swerved into another car, one explanation could be that your crash was caused by defective tires.

If you know that no one else caused your car wreck and you were driving along safely, then defective tires may be to blame. Although this may be difficult to prove, bad tires have been known to cause many serious accidents.

Fatal Accident Caused by Bad Tires

On October 8, 2011, a fatal car crash in Atlanta occurred on Interstate 20 near Fulton County Industrial. According to police officers and investigators, the cause of this wreck was bad tires. As a Lexus was traveling westbound on I-20 near I-285, one of its rear tires blew out, causing it to swerve into a Ford Expedition. Anoa Sulaiman was the 25-year-old driver of the Lexus that smashed into the other vehicle.

Upon impact, Christopher Saladrigas, the 27-year-old passenger inside the Ford, was ejected from the vehicle and killed. Sadly, this accident is not unique. When tire manufacturers have a poor manufacturing design, use defective materials, or do not test their products as well as they should, they can be held liable for car crash and related injuries.
